LUCKY

   This Gentleman came to Tzus And Mews as a owner surrender. His owner was elderly with health issues that made it difficult for her to continue caring for Lucky. Letting him go was very heartbreaking for her but she was determine to give him the life he deserve.

   The day after Lucky arrived he had to go in for an emergency dental due to a horrible oral infection that had traveled to his throat. We learned threw X-rays that his already narrow trachea was completely infected and was causing him to cough uncontrollably. During his dental surgery seventeen teeth had to be removed because of dental disease.

   Today Lucky is doing amazing. He does require a special harness that does not go across his neck to help prevent  restricting the air pathways of his narrow trachea. He loves eating, sleeping and taking walks.

​

   Lucky doesn't mind being around other dogs of all ages, sizes or breed. He even loves the cat. He is the sweetest old man you'll ever meet. He is always kind and gentle with all the other rescues from the Baby to our 85 lb Cane Corso.

   Transportation is not available for Lucky because he is so close to 20 lbs and may not be able to fly with our flight nanny. Ground transportation can be considered with our transport team if less than a few hours. The ideal adopter would be local to Houston, Texas or willing to drive to pick up personally.
